How Do I Fill A Heavy Bag

A Question that we are frequently asked is....

How Do I Fill A Heavy Bag?

1. Get approximately 10 Pounds of sand and carefully put it in a thick garbage bag. Form it into a ball.

2. Wrap it further into 3-4 trash bags. (This is to protect the bag from splitting). 3. Roll the bag of sand to the bottom of the heavybag.

OPTIONAL STEP (But recommended) Go to your local carpet store and buy a piece of foam (carpet padding) the width/height of the bag. Line the bag with foam. Lining the bag keeps it from looking lumpy. You may get lucky and get a piece for free. 4. Fill the bag with old clothes and rags. Cut up large pieces of clothing to prevent lumps in the bag. Do not use anything with a zipper as it could damage the bag. If you can get extra carpet padding - cut it up and you can also use it for filling the bag.

5. Pack the rags down into the bag with a 2 by 4.

6. Be Patient. Take your time and fill it right the first timeNote: Over time the filling may settle in, at that point you will need to add more filling.
